On November 8th, FREEWAT project results and future prospects were presented at the ECOMONDO fair in Rimini (Italy). ECOMONDO is the largest international fair on Green and Circular Economy in the Euro-Mediterranean area. The event provides every year a common environment to leading market companies and public and research institutions, where presenting innovations and new technologies.
The thematic area related to water resources hosted the workshop “Smart control of water resources for managing river and lake basins”, focusing on presenting ICT solutions for smart monitoring delivered in the framework of the H2020 IntCatch project. The program of the workshop included oral presentations by representatives of the European ICT4WATER Cluster, the European Water Platform WssTP and research institutions. Among them, Rudy Rossetto (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Coordinator of the H2020 FREEWAT project), presented the FREEWAT platform as a free and open source solution for management of water resources, detailing the results achieved in two years and half of the project and future of the FREEWAT initiative.
