WP1 - Project management
Deliverable 1.6: Project website
This Deliverable is a report about the setting in place of the present web site for the dissemination of project activities, progress and results to the general public and stakeholders.
WP2 - Software Integration Engineering and Customisation
Deliverable 2.9: FREEWAT platform v.1.0 and User Manual 1.0
This Deliverable consists in the final, stable and largely tested version of the FREEWAT platform, along with the final version of the User Manuals. This material is freely available with an Open Source license, accessing the Download area through this web page.
WP3 - Capacity building
Deliverable 3.2: Training materials - final version
This report describes training material provided as result of the FREEWAT project, consisting in lecture notes and tutorials. These are prepared and distributed with an Open Source license through this web page. The training material aims at helping FREEWAT Users to test platform capabilities on all the subjects of water resource management implemented with a special focus on groundwater management.
Deliverable 3.3: Local courses to build capacity at national level
This report details the training activities developed in the Task 3.3 (Local courses to build capacity at national level). These activities aim at improving, through the use of FREEWAT, the professional level of technical and managerial personnel of public institutions and companies involved in water resource management issues. Task 3.3 has been successfully accomplished: 1.077 participants attended 44 national courses and 2 remote courses five-days long. Three additional courses were then run within the framework of national and international congresses. A total of 49 courses were thus performed in 53 Countries spread out over the 5 continents.
WP4 - Application to WFD/GWD
Deliverable 4.1: Report by each partner on the FREEWAT application to the case studies, results and new/alternative management scenarios simulation on WFD/GWD and water related Directives
This Deliverable reports modeling experiences, results and discussions related to the application of the FREEWAT platform to 9 selected case studies devoted to the application of water-related Directives, including the Water Framework Directive and the Ground Water Directive.
Deliverable 4.2: Report on advantages/drawbacks, strengths/weaknesses of FREEWAT with results from the 9 case studies
This Deliverable synthetizes advantages/drawbacks, strengths and weaknesses of using the FREEWAT platform to the case studies devoted to the application of water-related Directives. This was detailed in structured questionnaires filled in by each of the partners involved.
WP5 - Application to rural water management
Deliverable 5.1: Report by each partner on the FREEWAT application to the case studies, results and new/alternative management scenarios simulation focusing on rural water management and EU vs. non-EU regulations

WP6 - Enhanced science- and participatory approach evidence-based decision making
Deliverable 6.1: Evaluation grid for "needs/tools" comparison
This Deliverable reports needs and priorities hyghlighted (by means of a questionnaire) by partners/stakeholders on water resource management issues. Results of the questionnaire allowed to address development of the FREEWAT platform.
Deliverable 6.3: Policy briefs
This Deliverable deals with 7 Policy briefs produced drawing out information from the minutes prepared by each case study partner in the occasion of Focus Groups run during modeling activities. Each Policy brief represents a practical tool to be used in order to ensure better knowledge-based decisions in water management sector.
WP7 - Guidance on model-supported application of EU water-related Directives for water quantity and quality
Deliverable 7.1: Guidance on model-supported application of EU water related Directives for water quantity and quality
This Deliverable introduces a reference document to be used at the European level as a support for decision makers dealing with water resources management.
WP8 - Dissemination and Exploitation and Communication
Deliverable 8.1: Open workshop during the three official project meetings
This Deliverable reports key points from the open workshops held within the framework of the kick-off, mid-term and final FREEWAT meetings, during which several issues related to the project were discussed.
Deliverable 8.2: Communication material
This Deliverable reports communication material produced by the leading partner (Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna) for the FREEWAT project.
Deliverable 8.5: National workshop organized by each partner involved with case study
This Deliverable reports key points emerged during national workshops organized at the premises of each partner involved in the application of the FREEWAT platform to a specific case study.
Deliverable 8.6: Report on market and business model and application scenario
This Deliverable presents a market and business model for the exploitation of the FREEWAT platform, as also derived from partners suggestions. Application scenarios are presented to describe market uptake of the FREEWAT platform, taking into account its open source and public domain nature.
This Deliverable is about the acceptance for publication of at least 7 scientific papers on peer-reviewed and open access journals.
Deliverable 8.8: Submission of at least twelve conference papers per year (minimum of thirty)
This Deliverable is about the submission of at least twelve conference papers per year (overall minimum of thirty at the end of the project), describing the scientific and technical outcomes achieved within the H2020 FREEWAT project.
This Deliverable summarizes the experiences on the integration of the participatory approach to the modelling technical activities, as drawn out from the minutes prepared by each case study partner in the occasion of Focus Groups run during modeling activities. It focuses on discussing the practical applications of ICT innovative tools to cope with water-related problems.
