The 11th International Hydrogeological Congress of Greece was held in Athens, Greece, on October 4th-6th, 2017.
The Congress was organized by the Hellenic Committee of Hydrogeology, i.e. the Greek Chapter of the IAH (International Association of Hydrogeologists), in collaboration with the Association of Geologists and Mining Engineers of Cyprus.
The event focused on groundwater vulnerability and was aimed at scientists, researchers, students, government officials and experts of the water sector.
The agenda of the Congress included also two, full-day FREEWAT training seminars on October 4th-5th. These were organized by Andreas Kallioras (National Technical University of Athens, Greece) and attended by 52 participants. The FREEWAT plugin was distributed along with training material in the form of exercises.
