On January 15th-18th, Dr. Rudy Rossetto was invited as member of the European Innovation Partnership on Water at the International Water Summit held in Abu Dhabi (UAE). Within this context, Dr. Rossetto presented some of the most innovative results achieved for solving issues related to water resource management in the Gulf area.
Within the framework of the initiative EU-GULF Innovation Exchange, he delivered a presentation on Open-source solutions for groundwater management and the FREEWAT project about digital solutions for water management. The presentation is available here.
Finally, Dr. Rossetto took part in the Early-stage innovations for tomorrow’s water challenges panel, which was focused on: (i) how innovation in water management can support the achievement of the objectives supported by EU water Directives, and (ii) the level of replicability/adaptability of such innovations that might be achieved in the countries of the Gulf, with specific reference to the Euro-Mediterranean region.
