From the 18th to the 22nd of July 2017 in Paris - Marne-la-vallée - it was held the third edition of the FOSS4G Europe Conference.
Under the motto "Open Innovation for Europe" it gathered about 350 attendees, more than 100 talks and 15 workshops interested in the development and usage of Open Source Geospatial technologies including desktop applications, Web mapping and data.
FREEWAT, as part of the OSGeo's software QGIS, was presented by Prof. Massimiliano Cannata to the community illustrating the great impact of the platform in supporting the European WFD.
