The FREEWAT project was presented by PARAGON EUROPE at the Slovakian EU Presidency during the Danube UP Event held in in Bratislava between the 8th and 9th July 2016.
Paragon Europe was invited to attend this event which brought together the 10 countries bordering the Danube River as well as the Netherlands (the country holding the EU Presidency before Slovakia) and Malta the country to host the EU Presidency following Slovakia.
Dr. Anton Theuma, CEO of PARAGON EUROPE, gave a talk entitled “Towards and Efficient Management of Water Resources in Malta: Critical Issues and Main Challenges”. During this talk, FREEWAT project was presented as one of the pilot projects in which Paragon and SEWCU, the National Agency on Energy and Water are collaborating in order to promote innovative ways of managing of groundwater resources
During this event, Paragon Europe also had a stand, where FREEWAT and other EU water supported initiatives were presented to the public attending the event
Political and regional representatives of the invited countries, universities, water bodies and the general public were present for the Danube -Up Event.
